What is French Onion Soup Mix?

If you don’t see them around your local grocer, a French Onion Soup Mix is a popular seasoning blend typically used to make the classic French Onion Soup. It’s a delightful combination of dried onions, savory herbs, and a touch of umami goodness. I took inspiration from this beloved mix and infused its incredible flavors into my labneh dip. You can enjoy all the mouthwatering essence of French Onion Soup in a dip form that’ll have you reaching for seconds!

What is Labneh?

Not sure what labneh is? Labneh is a luxurious Middle Eastern yogurt cheese known for its creamy, tangy taste and velvety texture. It’s made by straining yogurt to remove the whey, resulting in a thick and spreadable cheese-like consistency. Labneh is a versatile ingredient that can be used in both sweet and savory dishes, and it serves as the perfect base for this French Onion Soup dupe. Its creamy richness provides a delightful canvas for the flavors to harmonize and create a dip that’ll make your taste buds dance with joy!
