The Best Hamantaschen Recipes for Purim

🚨 THIS ISN’T A DRILL: Purim is literally just around the corner! 🚨

If you haven’t gotten your hands on any triangle-shaped cookies yet, here’s a quick refresher on what hamantaschen are and why we eat them during the Purim season:

Hamantaschen are triangular cookies, traditionally eaten around Purim, which starts on Wednesday this week. It’s a Jewish holiday celebrating the Jews’ victory over Haman in ancient Persia or modern-day Iran.

According to legend, Haman wore a three-cornered hat. So we eat three-cornered pastries like hamantaschen to announce his defeat!
